Hello all, I have an oil leak dripping from under my 2005 5.0 Mercruiser MPI it almost looks like its coming from the front area of the pan and dripping straight down but the pan itself is dry. Of utmost concern is the proper sealing of the oil pan gasket to the bottom of the cover. Remove the plug and drain the oil pan, collecting the oil in a container for hazardous waste disposal. Includes special tether so oil drain hose can be pulled out through the boat bilge drain hole to drain engine oil. Loosen the the oil pan drain plug bolt by using pliers or a socket wrench. The pan has rust blisters surrounding the drain plug, and the blisters are wet with oil. I've looked everywhere and cant pin poiunt where its coming from.
